A Palestinian resistance official: Indirect negotiations with Israel are going well

According to the Mehr News Agency, quoted by the Qatari Al Arabi Al-Jadeed channel, a source in the Palestinian resistance has announced that the indirect negotiations with the occupying government of Israel are progressing positively.

This source emphasized in a conversation with “Al-Arabi Al-Jadid” that the Hamas movement sent a new message to the Israeli government through mediators, in which it was emphasized to separate the disputed issues and postpone the discussion about them until the next stages of the agreement.

According to this source, Hamas' proposal includes the implementation of successive steps of the agreement without stopping, and guarantees have been provided by Egypt, Qatar and the United States for the implementation of the steps of the agreement.

Egypt has also shown flexibility regarding Israel's presence in the southern areas of Gaza, especially in the Salah al-Din axis, and has agreed to postpone the discussion of Israel's withdrawal to the next steps.

Also, Egyptian sources familiar with the Gaza negotiations have confirmed that the new proposed plan includes a phase with three time periods, as opposed to the three separate phases that were previously proposed.

These sources have added that two weeks after the implementation of the agreement, the issue of other Israeli hostages in the hands of the resistance will be reviewed.

On the other hand, serious pressure from the Trump administration and some Israeli security officials on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has caused a change in his position.

These sources announced that during the recent negotiations, the Israeli negotiating team announced that according to the intelligence estimates of the Israeli agencies, the number of Israeli hostages alive is between 45 and 51 people, including 15 male soldiers of various ranks.
