According to Mehr news agency, citing Sky News, the United States has announced that it has increased the reward for providing information leading to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

The U.S. Treasury Department announced in a statement on Friday that up to $25 million has been allocated for information leading to the arrest of Nicolás Maduro and his Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello.

The State Department also announced that up to $15 million has been set aside for information that would lead to the arrest of new Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino.

In addition, new sanctions have been imposed on Venezuela's state-owned oil company and airlines, the US Treasury Department announced.
