The price of rice in the market is reduced

According to the Mehr correspondent, the rice market has risen a lot in recent months. Reports that the preferential currency was eliminated along with the import restrictions fueled the issue, and domestic rice was hoarded by market speculators. But with new decisions in the coming days we will see a decline in the price of this high -end product.

Majid Reza Khaki, secretary of the Iranian Rice Importers Association, told Mehr reporter that new policies in the field of rice market supply and expressed hope that these measures, along with the participation of importers, would lead to a significant decrease in prices and return to the market.

Referring to the recent decision of the country's market regulatory headquarters, he said: The continuation of the allocation of preferential currency for rice next year is an important step in stabilizing importers who are sometimes waiting for currency for up to six months. This will allow for more accurate planning and reinforce the supply process.

Khaki also announced a review of the ceiling of imported rice prices, adding that the market regulation task force has revised the consumer rates and brought it closer to market realities. This decision, along with the halts of some irrational encounters with importers, can facilitate the economic justification of imports and facilitate sustainable rice supply.

According to the secretary of the Iranian Rice Importers Association, in order to control the market, it was decided that the private sector was supplied by the private sector in the chain stores and the rest were distributed through previous distribution networks under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad and other regulatory agencies in the market. Remove the profit speculators to properly cover the existing need.

He also announced the implementation of new orders registration and said: The Ministry of Agriculture's Commerce Development Department has announced that in mid -March, ordering of 5 to 6,000 tons of rice will be carried out to meet the market needs in the spring.

At the end, Khaki said: “The sum of these measures by relevant institutions, including the Department of Commerce Development of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan and Nowruz, can play an effective role in reducing prices, eliminating brokers and returning peace to the rice market.”
