The population growth rate in Lorestan is below one percent

He continued: During this period, an average of 61 babies were born every night in the province, for every 111 boys, 100 girls were born.

The Director General of Lorestan Registry stated that 349 cases of births in the province were twins and 10 cases were triplets, adding: 7,224 cases of death were also registered in the province during this period.

8% of divorces took place after less than a year

Pointing out that this number has decreased by two percent compared to the same period last year, Amiri said: 71.6 percent of deaths were in cities and 28.4 percent in villages.

He said: 9 thousand 992 marriages have been registered in the province during the mentioned period.
