Fidan: Türkiye does not seek to confront Israel in Syria

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Friday: “Turkey does not want Israel in Syria.”

This stance comes after the Zionist regime's widespread attacks on Syria.

On the sidelines of a NATO foreign minister in Brussels, he said: Israel's actions are the basis for the future instability.

“If the new Damascus government wants to achieve specific understanding with Israel, this is their own,” Fidan said.

He also said about Iran: Diplomacy is essential and we do not want an attack on Iran.

Fidan also said about Ukraine: “We welcome US efforts to end the Ukraine War, but it is not easy to reach an agreement.”

He also told Ukraine about security guarantees: “There must be deterrence to prevent the loss of war.”

“The change in Trump's policy could be an opportunity for Europe that has relied on the United States since the Cold War,” he said.

Fidan, however, emphasized: Without US support, Europe cannot give Ukraine security guarantees alone.
