Hosseini: The economy should not be tied to negotiations

Sayed Ismail Hosseini, speaking to Mehr reporter, referring to the statements of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution during a meeting of senior officials of the three branches that we should not tie the issues of the country, said: “The United States has no good track record in negotiating with Iran and we have seen Iran's agreement with Iran.” Therefore, even if we reach an agreement in the current negotiations, there is no guarantee that they will act.

“However, in the current situation that we have come to the conclusion that we must negotiate indirectly, it is imperative that the nation, parliament, government and all sovereignty support our country's negotiators so that they can pursue negotiations within the specified framework,” he said.

Shiraz's representative to the Islamic Consultative Assembly continued: It has been emphasized many times that the US -US negotiations should only focus on Iran's lack of nuclear weapons and complete lifting of sanctions and no other issues should be raised in these negotiations.

Hosseini reiterated: “If there are other issues other than the issues mentioned in the negotiations, the parliament will definitely enter the parliament, because the parliament is opposed to discussing other issues in these negotiations.”

He also emphasized: Given the coordination between the State Department and the various elements of the system, I is unlikely to know that our country's negotiating team will move outside the specific framework.

Hosseini, pointing out that the country's economy should not be dependent on negotiations, said: “Our economic problems have many reasons, some of which are due to poor management and defective structures, and all economic problems cannot be attributed to sanctions and external factors.”

In the end, he said: “To overcome the problems, we must also take fundamental steps within the country and to reform the defective economic structures and we should not be delayed.”
