One dead and two wounded following gas leaks at the Osaka Japanese Oil Refinery

The incident was reported at around 9am local time, when an emergency service of gas leaks in the refinery plumbing system Sakai ENEOS and the workers' collapse received at the scene.

According to local authorities, three male workers were exposed to leaks and taken to hospital. The death of one of them was later confirmed.

Initial reports suggest that the leakage may be hydrogen sulfide, a toxic gas. ENEOS is currently investigating the cause of leakage.

The refinery, which has an area of ​​approximately 2.5 square meters, is located along the coast and specializes in oil refining.
