The National Intellectual Property Policy Council meeting was held

According to Mehr News Agency, the forty -fifth meeting of the National Intellectual Property Policy Council was chaired by the Minister of Justice and attended by representatives of the council's members of the council.

At the meeting, Minister of Justice Amin Hossein Rahimi emphasized the importance of commercialization of intellectual assets and said: “Commercialization of intellectual assets is one of the key issues in the field of intellectual property, some of the ideas, inventions and even knowledge -based companies are not familiar with the commercialization methods.” Since commercialization methods are different in the knowledge -based economy and the traditional economy, effective measures should be taken to explain and teach these methods.

Rahimi, referring to the training programs implemented for the four selected companies, added: “Some of these companies will work as a coach in other companies because of their capabilities and talents.” This is of great importance and can help expand the knowledge of commercialization.

He also pointed to the experiences and innovations of the leading countries in the field of intellectual property protection and said: “The leading countries in this area have new methods and innovations to support intellectual assets.” We need to use their experiences to strengthen the intellectual property system in the country while familiarizing them.

The Minister of Justice proposed the formation of a workgroup aimed at transferring the experiences of other countries to Iran and familiarizing them with the methods of supporting intellectual assets internationally and taking the necessary measures.

Referring to the role of the Ministry of Justice and the National Intellectual Property Policy Council, Rahimi said: “The Ministry of Justice and the council do not have an executive role in the field of intellectual property, but act as a coordinator among the trustees.” The Organization for Documentation and Real Estate as an official representative of Iran in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WiPpo) The trustee of patents and support for industrial property. Ministries such as Health, Agriculture Jihad, Industry, Mining and Commerce, Vice President of Science and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance are also part of the responsibility. The role of the National Council for Intellectual Property Policy is the coordination and synergy between these agencies.

He emphasized: Coordination and synergy between agencies is a necessary condition for achieving goals and success in the field of intellectual property. Given the dispersal of responsibilities in this area, it is crucial to coordinate the devices.

In the end, Rahimi praised the efforts made in the field of intellectual property protection, hoping that the people and the country would benefit from the benefits of commercializing intellectual assets and wealth production.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the member bodies of the National Intellectual Property Policy Council, with the aim of examining strategies for the strengthening of the intellectual property and commercialization of intellectual assets, and representatives of the member bodies presented a report on statistical standardization plan and formulation of intellectual property measurement indicators.
