Zafargandi: We need to increase people's health literacy

According to Mehr News Agency, Mohammad Reza Zaqqandi At a meeting of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, the managers of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences emphasized cooperation to solve the problems, he said: “We need to increase people's health literacy by cooperation and use of cyberspace.”

“We need to improve public health through preventive training in diseases such as cancer, diabetes, prostate and hypertension,” he said. In the youth of the population, Guilan province at a rate of below 4.9 percent has the lowest population youth in the country, with economic and social factors being the most important.

Zaqqandi Referring to the family medical program and the referral system, he said: This is one of the most important plans of the government and the Ministry of Health. Tabriz University of Medical Sciences is one of the successful universities in the program and we hope to be fully implemented so that people will benefit from it.

He further emphasized the provision of human resources for new medical centers: “We are against the expansion of corporate force.” We must plan from now on to provide human resources for newly established centers, including the Comprehensive Cancer Center, and we hope that this problem will be resolved through national tests.

The Minister of Health also pointed to the increase in the salaries of the assistants, adding that the salaries of the assistants have increased from 2 to 5 million tomans and we hope to be able to increase this amount again by 5 % in the coming months.

He appreciated the six -day performance of the East Azerbaijan Health Campaign, especially in Tabriz Metropolitan, and stated: Whenever I was contacted by the President of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, I realized that the conditions were under control and there is no particular issue that is a matter of joy and honor.

It is worth mentioning that at the meeting, the head of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and the deputies and administrators of the university raised the most important problems, strengths and weaknesses of the university, and the Minister of Health promised to assist in resolving problems.
