Was carried out by the leader of the revolution; The retention of three jurists of the Guardian Council

According to Mehr News Agency, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, appointed three members of the Guardian Council for another period.

Following a letter from Ayatollah Jannati, secretary of the Guardian Council on the end of the membership of Mr. Haj Seyyed Ahmad Khatami, Haj Sheikh Alireza Arafi and Haj Seyyed Ahmad Hosseini Khorasani on July 5, the revolutionary leader said in response to the head of the Revolution: “Hello and Honorable Membership.”

According to Article 2 of the Constitution, four members of the Guardian Council are appointed by the leader of the revolution.

According to Article 4 of the Constitution, the installation and dismissal of the jurisprudents of the Guardian Council is with the leader of the revolution.

The jurisdiction of the Guardian Council is also elected by the lawyers who nominate the head of the judiciary to the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
