In this regard, Mehrdad Kiaei, the National Coordinator of the Islamic Republic of Iran, told the Shanghai Cooperation Organization: “The presence of the head of the judiciary at the annual meeting of the Shanghai Member States Systems, considering the interest of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the judiciary, to exacerbate and strengthen the legal and judicial cooperation.

According to him, at the same time, bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the presence of Hojjat al -Islam and the Aegehum can lead to new agreements; It can also follow the pursuit of earlier agreements or on the agenda.

“In addition to Iran, Russia, China, India, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Belarus are a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization,” Kiaie said.

He said: “In all these areas there are good opportunities for cooperation; The judiciary is one of the most important areas of interest to cooperate; Therefore, the annual meeting of the heads of the country's judiciary to strengthen cooperation is held; At the meetings, the heads of the judiciary examines their cooperation.

“The meeting will be held annually at the heads of the Supreme Courts of Member States, the highest judicial authority of the organization, in a country that is the periodic chair of the organization,” Kiaei said of the Shanghai Cooperation Cooperation Organization's Judicial Regulators meeting.

He said: The member states at these meetings are usually published at the highest levels, namely the heads of the Supreme Court or the Supreme Court's deputies, and at the end of the meeting, a statement on the cooperation of the member states' judiciary.

Kiaie reiterated: The Islamic Republic of Iran has officially participated in the Shanghai Organization in July and has been actively involved in the organization's meetings, including the Heads of the Member States.

The National Coordinator of the Islamic Republic of Iran told the Shanghai Cooperation Organization that we were present at the level of the Deputy Director of International Affairs of the Judiciary in the previous period. At the same time, the statement of cooperation in itself emphasizes important and valuable issues of legal and judicial cooperation.

He said the meeting could also provide the opportunity to exchange and declare common positions between countries; The announcement of the joint position of the member states in the important areas raised at the regional and international levels; One of the most important of these is the fight against terrorism and counter dual standards.

Kiaie further stated: Due to the good atmosphere in cooperation with member states, the Islamic Republic of Iran is interested in strengthening cooperation with Shanghai member states in various fields, including legal and judicial cooperation.

“The important thing is that in all areas of cooperation, including the fight against terrorism, drug trafficking, weapons trafficking, organized crimes, … The role of the judiciary of the countries is a strong role and the member states need to have the support of the judiciary to effectively fight these threats. The annual meeting of the heads of the judiciary of the member states can provide the necessary support in the fields mentioned.
