US and Saudi foreign ministers on developments in the region and Iran

The US Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced a phone conversation with Saudi counterpart about developments in the region, especially Syria and Iran, according to the Mehr News Agency.

The US State Department announced that Marco Rubio spoke with his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan about regional security issues, including efforts to end violence in Syria.

According to the ministry's report, Rubio and his Saudi counterpart also consulted on the pursuit of diplomacy with Iran and Washington and Riyadh to ensure security in the Red Sea.
