Arrest of a member of the council and former deputy mayor of Ahvaz

According to Mehr News Agency, a member of the Ahwaz City Council and a former deputy mayor was arrested on charges of corruption.

An informed source added: “The two were prosecuted for financial violations and were detained by responsible agencies.”

The investigation on the dimensions of the case is ongoing and other people may be prosecuted.
