UAE sharply denounces Israeli airstrike on Iran

TEHRAN – The UAE has strongly condemned Israel’s military strikes on Iran, and expressed its deep concern over the continued escalation and its repercussions on security and stability in the region.

Israel had announced earlier Saturday morning that it was targeting military sites in Iran. Footage taken by Iranian citizens has shown the country’s defense systems intercepting unidentified projectiles in the air. The attacks targeted positions in the provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam. Iran says the assault has caused limited damage.
