Treatment of knee infections with the innovative idea of ​​North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences doctors

Today, in an interview with Mehr reporter, Omid Topchian announced the patent of an innovative patent called bone cement that removes infection caused by knee joint replacement by the doctors of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences.

He further added: This invention has been registered by Dr. Mohammad Amin Younesi Heravi, Head of the Faculty of Paramedicine, and Dr. Reza Ganji, a member of the faculty of the Faculty of Medicine, and it promises a great transformation in the treatment of orthopedic patients.

Referring to the advantages of this outstanding invention, he said: This bone cement with a combination of poly Methyl Methacrylate (PMMA), Genta Mysin (500 mg) and Vanko Mysin (4 grams) is produced.

Topchian continued: By placing this material in the surgical site, infections are effectively controlled and the patients' range of motion and comfort improve significantly.

Appreciating the efforts of these researchers, Topchian considered this success as an indication of the high scientific power of the university and invited all colleagues and students to use the capacities of the intellectual property and inventions center of the university to record their scientific achievements.
