Thousands of children under the age of 5 are exposed to severe malnutrition in Gaza

According to Mehr News Agency, the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, in a message to the heads of the world's national populations, expressed concern over the severe malnutrition of thousands of Gaza children calling for urgent intervention to contain the humanitarian disaster.
The text of Pir Hossein Collivand states:
On the part of the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRCS) and the National Committee on Humanitarians (Inchl), I would like to draw your immediate attention to the human and serious humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. According to recent UNICEF reports and statements, the World Health Organization (WHO), the UN Relief and Employment Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) and borderless doctors (MSF), the situation in the field is very critical and requires urgent and coordinated human intervention.
The people of Gaza are in an unimaginable suffering: widespread malnutrition, hunger, and severe lack of access to food and clean water have made the number of children and civilians in a critical situation. The demolition of hospitals and health infrastructure severely disrupts the provision of essential medical services and exacerbates the crisis. More than 6,000 children have been killed or injured and thousands of others suffer from severe malnutrition.
Since October 1, the World Health Organization has reported more than 5 attacks on health centers. Hospitals such as Kamal Advan Hospital, Indonesia Hospital, Hamad Hospital for Rehabilitation and Prosthesis and the European Hospital of Gaza have stopped their medical services because of their proximity to the hias, which has worsened the human condition. The health of women, especially pregnant and lactating women, is extremely at risk. UNICEF reports that since April 1, 5 children have died from malnutrition, accounting for a 5 % increase in less than three months and thousands of children under the age of 5 are exposed to severe malnutrition.
The Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the National Committee on Humanitarians call on all the national populations of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent to re -approve their vital mission and take urgent measures to protect the injured.
According to Article 5 of the Geneva Conventions, member states are responsible to respect humanitarian humanitarian law and protect the dignity of civilians involved in armed conflict. We call on national populations to issue public statements immediately, actively interact with their governments, and put strong diplomatic pressure on the following:
Stopping all the clashes and violence that affect civilians and human operations in Gaza.
Facilitating the non -obstacle of human aid and medical services
Responding to the perpetrators and ending immunity from violations of international humanitarian law.
The current crisis in Gaza is reminiscent of our common commitment to humanity. We have to work together for peace, protecting human lives and reducing suffering. With the principled human action and effective interaction with governments, we can preserve the fundamental values of our movement. We confirm our solidarity with all the affected societies and our colleagues throughout the movement on these difficult days.
