The second round of Russian -Ukraine talks will be held at Erdogan's office

A new round of Russian -Ukraine talks will likely be held at Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's office, Mehr News Agency quoted Sputnik as saying.
“Most likely, the new round of talks will be held again in the office (presidential) at the Baghcheh Palace,” Sputnik quoted the source as saying.
Russia's ambassador to the United Nations Vasili Nabenzia said yesterday that Russia would offer an exchange of understanding of the parties' approaches to the negotiations in future talks with Ukraine in Istanbul.
Russian President Vladimir Putin had earlier proposed to resume direct and unauthorized talks with Ukraine on May 5.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the purpose of the proposed talks is to eliminate the roots of the war in Ukraine and ensure Russia's interests. The Russian delegation was present in Istanbul on May 9, but no contact was made between representatives of the two countries. The meeting was held a day later and lasted about two hours.
Putin's adviser Vladimir Madinsky, who chaired the Russian delegation, insisted that Moscow and Kiev agreed to offer their suggestions on possible ceasefire. Medinski also announced Russia's readiness to continue negotiations with Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has also said that the Russian delegation is ready to submit a memorandum of understanding on the second round of talks with Ukraine on June 2 in Istanbul. At the same time, the Kremlin announced that he had not received any response from Kiev to proposing a second round of talks in Türkiye.
