The evolved version of Kausar satellite will be launched in the first half of next year

According to Mehr news agency, Hossein Shahrabi On the sidelines of the Leader of the Revolution's visit to the exhibition of achievements and capabilities of the private sector, the CEO of Omid Fza Company has announced the launch of an evolved version of the Kausar satellite in the first half of next year.

He emphasized: “The two satellites of Kausar and Hodhod, which are operated by Omid Fza and Co Seer Saba were designed and built, on November 15 this year, they were launched into space with the Russian Soyuz launcher.

These two satellites are designed with the aim of developing precision agriculture; “Kotsar satellite operates with remote sensing mission and Hodhod satellite with Internet of Things mission.”

Shahrabi Referring to the internal construction of these satellites, he added: “More than 85% of the components of these satellites are localized. Even if all the parts were imported, because it was designed and built inside, this project is considered completely indigenous.

Although the sanctions have been challenging, we have been able to successfully overcome them.”

He also announced that the combined version of Kausar and Hodhed missions, named Kausar 1.5, will be launched in the first half of next year, and efforts are being made to design and produce a system of these satellites by attracting capital.

Shahrabi Emphasizing the role of the government in the development of the space industry, he said: “The biggest service that the government can do is guaranteeing the market for space services and pre-purchasing the services of this industry.”

In addition, reducing the risk of technology in the knowledge-based sector is one of the important measures that should be taken by the government.

He also emphasized the need to remove unreasonable regulatory obstacles and added: “Inadequate knowledge of the regulatory institutions about the space industry has reduced the courage of government managers to carry out large projects, and this issue has created a great challenge for us.”
