Starmer's plan to convince Trump about Ukraine

The Times newspaper announced in a report that British Prime Minister Kerr Starmer plans to convince US President-elect Donald Trump to continue Washington's support for Ukraine.

Citing sources in the British Prime Minister's office, the newspaper wrote that Starmer is likely to visit the United States in late January and early February, a few weeks after Trump's inauguration.

According to The Times, the British Prime Minister is going to ask Trump to continue the policy of sending weapons to Ukraine during this trip.

The US president-elect has repeatedly claimed during his election campaign that he would end the war in Ukraine within a day of returning to the White House. Trump repeatedly criticized the administration of US President Joe Biden for spending a lot of money to send weapons to Ukraine.

It is said that Trump can use US aid to Kiev as leverage to force Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to come to the table for peace talks.
