Najafi's emphasis on the independent and technical role of the Agency towards Iran

According to Mehr News Agency, Reza Najafi, the new ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with the IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi on Monday and discussed his work on Iran and the Agency about his cooperation as well as his future visit to Tehran.

Referring to the importance of the continuation of Iran -Agency cooperation, Grossi emphasized the need to strive to create a positive and constructive atmosphere between all parties.

The meeting also discussed developments around Iran's peaceful nuclear program.

The Iranian ambassador and permanent representative emphasized the independent, technical and impartial role of the Agency.

Najafi also explained the approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the process of cooperation with the IAEA, expressed hope that the future Director General's visit to Tehran would boost cooperation.
