Riabkov: Russia welcomes the change in tone in US officials' statements

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Saturday that the meeting between Russia and the US will be held in the third country in the next six weeks, according to the Mehr News Agency. The place of the meeting is in agreement.

The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister continued: “Moscow wants to begin cooperation with the United States as soon as possible to eliminate provocative factors in the Fimb” relations. Russia is ready to talk to the United States and welcomes the change in tone in Washington's statements. The preparations for Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump are the Russian and US presidents, but are still in the early stages.

Sergei Ryabkov added: “In the current phase of talks with the United States, the return of Russian diplomatic property in the United States is one of Moscow's priority. In negotiating with the United States, we currently have two parallel but interconnected issues: one in Ukraine and the other on bilateral issues between the US and Russia.

“Russia has not yet received its official approval of its new ambassador to Washington,” he said.
