Former US President Jimmy Carter dies at 100



Carter, who turned 100 on Oct. 1 and is the longest-lived president in American history, died at his home in Plains Sunday surrounded by family.

The Carter Center non-governmental organization confirmed the death of Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States.

“Our founder, former US President Jimmy Carter, passed away this afternoon in Plains, Georgia,” the organization said on its X page.
