Rasul Jafarian became the head of the central library of Tehran University

This library, along with the specialized libraries of the faculties, each of which was created according to their special scientific and educational needs, is more dedicated to research and collects works related to the studies of Islam, Iranology and Oriental studies.

The core of the central library of Tehran University was established in 1328 and the current building of the library was opened on October 1, 1350. During this period, the technical affairs of the library, establishing connections with scientific and academic centers of the world, selecting and employing expert librarians, were carried out in the basement of the central organization, the basement of the science faculty and the rooms of the university mosque. The library building with an area of ​​more than 22,000 square meters has nine floors, including two basement floors, ground floor, first floor and 5 floors of book, press and document storage. The central library and document center currently has about 50,000 permanent members and responds daily. More than 4,500 people referred are students of Tehran University and other universities and institutions of higher education and researchers and researchers inside and outside the country.
