Putin and Erdogan's telephone conversation about Syria

The Turkish president's office said that Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin, his Russian counterpart, spoke about the Syrian situation in a phone call, according to Mehr News Agency.

According to the report, Erdogan said in a phone call to Putin that new clashes in Syria threaten the entire region.

The Kremlin also announced that Putin and Erdogan emphasized the importance of rapid consolidation in Syria through dialogue and strengthening national consensus.

The leaders of the two countries also discussed the Ukrainian clash and the possibility of a third round of talks in Istanbul.

The Turkish president emphasized the need to continue talks about Ukraine in Istanbul and Türkiye's readiness to host the talks.
