Calling the suggestion “the most comprehensive” method to deal with this problem, Abdul Bari Zebari said that this is of great importance in finding the truth and punishing those involved in the attack.

Referring to the US attack on the Syrian air base, Zebari said, “We were surprised to see that the US accused the Syrian government and attacked Syria without any prior investigation and finding the truth.”

Following the US invasion of Syria, President Rouhani suggested that fact-finding committee be created to probe the incident, which has been welcomed by many, but the western countries, such as the US, France, the UK, and their regional allies have turned a deaf ear to that.

The US’s causing a turmoil over the explosion incident that happened in a chemical weapon depot is suspicion-raising and the West’s preventing from creation of an impartial fact-finding committee to investigate the incident also leaves a question mark?
