People's choice of toys has become smaller

Referring to the details of the 9th toy exhibition, Mena Emadi, director of the exhibition commission of the Toy Association, said in a conversation with Mehr reporter: “In this period of the exhibition, more than 2,300 Iranian products will be offered.” The difference between this period and the previous periods is that we see a high variety of goods. Also, the arrangement of the shelves and booths is based on the specific group and order, which includes intellectual groups, board games, educational games, building games, movement games, and the toy subcategory.

He added: “In the past, the toy festival included only the store section, but this year we added a promotion section to it, which promotes the game in a 700-meter hall.” Also, in the gallery of the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents, we have an exhibition section of dolls of Iranian ethnic groups, where these dolls are displayed in native and local clothes.

The Director of the Toy Association Exhibition Commission, referring to board games for minors, said: We can entertain a four-year-old child with board games, but the structure of that game must be different. It means to make it move by using body parts such as hands and eyes. Today, we see that games such as “Li Li” and “Mench” are produced in a different form and in the form of fabric, foam, small or large. Even the production of these games has been such that the small age group can use it.

Emadi said: The future of the country's toys depends on the country's economy. If our economy progresses and the obstacles that stand in the way of producers are removed and producers can access raw materials, we will see good progress in the path of producers. Manufacturers present new products every year, and people are just entering this path of toy production. If there are no obstacles in their way, they can continue on this path with strength. The economy of the country affects the prices of toys. The toy manufacturer is dependent on almost all industries such as plastic, paper, wood, glue, and all cases are related to the supply of raw materials.

Referring to the prices of toys offered in the 9th Toy Fair, he said: A month before the fair, we asked the manufacturers to take a public look at the prices and cooperate with us. Since we saw drastic changes in one month's yield, the producers tried their best to have a fair price on their goods and not to increase the prices.

The executive director of the 9th toy fair said at the end: At the same time as the fair is held, we have a survey of visitors. The survey shows that people are satisfied and they are most satisfied with the variety of goods and toy shelves. But what we see in the exits is the shrinking of people's choice baskets. In the past periods, we saw that the carts were completely filled, but in this period, we see that it has reached half. Economic conditions have caused families to spend less on buying toys.
