Washington and Kiev's agreement to establish a Ukrainian Reconstruction Fund

Al -Jazeera Qatar reported that the US Treasury Department announced that Washington and Kiev had signed an agreement to create a joint venture fund to rebuild Ukraine.

According to the US ministry, the agreement is a clear message to Moscow that the Trump administration is committed to promoting the peace process aimed at achieving a free Ukraine.

In the same connection, “Yulia Ukraine Minister of Economy Sievenko has announced that the United States and Ukraine have signed an agreement to set up a joint fund to rebuild the country.

“The fund will be created in cooperation with Washington and aims to attract worldwide investments into Ukraine,” he said.

According to the Ukrainian Minister of Economy, according to the provisions of the agreement, the ownership and complete control of all natural resources in Ukraine soil and waters will remain in Kiev.

He emphasized that only the Ukrainian government would decide what resources to be extracted and in which region, and this is clearly stated in the agreement.

He also explained that the fund's structure is based on the 2.5 model and its management will be jointly managed between Kiev and Washington.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg News Agency reported that the agreement included concessions for the United States in accessing Ukraine's natural resources and the development of new investment projects in the area.

According to Bloomberg, the natural resources mentioned in the agreement include aluminum, graphite, oil and natural gas.

The Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine also emphasized that the agreement was designed to provide a ground for the United States to benefit from its defense support from Ukraine through investment.
