New sanctions signify the depth of US hostility with the Iranian people

According to Mehr News Agency, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei strongly condemned the imposition of new sanctions by the US Treasury against several Iranian and non -Iranian natural and legal individuals under the pretext of cooperating with Iran in business and banking.

A State Department spokesman said: “The new US sanctions on Iran, which have been imposed in the context of a major inhumane policy of pressure on the Iranian people, are illegal and violating international legal principles and norms.”

Baqaei emphasized that US sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran are undoubtedly designed and implemented to exacerbate the pressure on each Iranian citizens and deprive them of their fundamental human rights, making the Iranian nation's determination to defend its legitimate rights and interests against American excess.
