The general manager of blood transfusion in the central province said that the blood supply rate in the province has increased by 4.9 percent compared to last year and since the beginning of the year, a good trend has been observed.

Zahiri continued: This year, 6,000 people were eligible for blood donation, while 8,800 were exempt from blood donation for various reasons.

He said: This year, 2,800 people made blood donation for the first time, which has increased by 4.9 percent compared to last year.

The general manager of blood transfusion in the central province said: Of the donors, 1,800 (equivalent to 2 %) are ongoing donors.

Zahiri added: “It should be acknowledged that the blood donation in the central province is higher than the national average, but it is still not favorable.”

He said: In addition to the fear of the needle, factors such as cupping, Tattoo, TattoosCosmetic and cosmetic interventions (especially in non -medical centers) are the most important reasons for women's exemption from blood donation.

Problems and projects of blood transfusions in the province

Zahiri said that sufficient and healthy blood supply is the priority of the Blood Transfusion Organization, adding that all blood transfusion bases in the province have the necessary standards and are now active in the neighborhoods, Delijan, Tafresh and Ashtian and the mobile blood donation system is active in the central province.

He added: During the 13th government's presidential visit to the central province, a mobile blood donation was purchased, but the number of numbering these buses remains and if the problem is resolved, they will be dispatched to remote areas.

The Director General of Blood Transfusion of the Central Province emphasized: In recent years, important projects have been put into operation in the province's Blood Transfusion Organization and with the construction of a blood transfusion refrigerator, the central province can become a blood transfusion center in the west and south of the country, but the project still requires heavy structures and equipment.
