In a conversation with Mehr reporter, Bahram Mushtakhi said about the process of holding the selection cycle of the Ferangi national wrestling team: The selection cycle of the national team is according to the policies of the wrestling federation, and I do not intend to interfere in it, and I do not give rights and policies to this federation because it has nothing to do with me. does not have But since I was with the national wrestling team for many years and ate the soil of this field, I am checking the conditions. Now, the wrestling federation has created a new policy called the selection cycle and they are going to proceed according to it. I have nothing to do with men, but according to my own belief and according to my experience, I think that the current cycle of selecting the national team causes the wrestlers to become exhausted.

He continued: These wrestlers are supposed to show their ability level to the technical staff by participating in the selection cycle of the national team, but in the end, the technical staff will choose the options they want and add them to the national team. In fact, the people who are considered as members of the technical staff must compete with wrestlers who passed through several filters and got tired.

A wrestling expert said: For example, now a wrestler participates in the national championship, after that he is sent to overseas tournaments, if he wins a gold medal in the Asian tournament, then he can wrestle again in the selection cycle of the national team. This process is not right at all, and I think the chosen cycle that they considered is more for the wrestlers to stay in this cycle and get destroyed. A wrestler who has to wrestle five rounds to reach the person chosen by the technical staff and wrestle with him is no longer able to fight.

Mushtaghi said: The wrestler first wrestled in the national championship, after that he was sent to the Asian tournament, and if he won a gold medal, he must participate in another overseas tournament. In this process, he has to lose weight all the time, so that he can finally meet with an option that is desired by the technical staff, so that his duty to participate in the national team is determined. What is the selection process of the national team? This is not a correct process at all.

He said: The national wrestling team is one of the star teams and has good wrestlers. Please, gentlemen, do not harm the team and do not play with the pride of the wrestlers. Gentlemen, don't do anything, in the next few years there will be nothing left of this team and everyone will give up. Now the federation is in a good financial condition. Maybe because of the work situation in Iran, no one will leave the wrestling and the hope is to stay until they get a small amount of money, but some people may suddenly become disillusioned with this situation, and then the wrestling will be without support.

Mushtaqi said: wrestlers may stop and let go of everything at once. They want to come to the square but they are not allowed and in fact no matter how much we beat the drums it doesn't make any sound. Then they may become disillusioned and unmotivated and stop everything. This method is not correct at all and the selection cycle of the national team is a hothouse like in the past, but they changed the trick and the way it was held. I am asking the gentlemen not to play with the dignity of young wrestlers. See these wrestlers as your own children.

He said: What happened to you when men were wrestling but they didn't give them a choice? All of them took their bags and left the camp of the national team. I was a witness. Please don't do the same thing to these wrestlers as they did to you. Let everyone wrestle together for one or two stages and whoever is first will be selected for Asian and World. In the next stages, it was more obligatory for everyone to go to the Olympics or the World Cup. Don't play with your reputation and the wrestlers. Don't just look at the present and be proud of it and say we achieved these results. Of course, I am happy that the current head coach of Keshtferengi always emphasizes in his speeches that these results were achieved based on collective wisdom and teamwork.
