Manama Regime Extends Detention of Teenagers on ‘Terrorism’ Charges   

(IQNA) – The Al Khalifa regime extended the detention of four Bahraini teenagers are being interrogated over ‘’ charges.

On Sunday, a court in the tiny country extended their detention for 30 more days.

The four boys, all under 18 years of age, have been held in temporary detention for sixty days.

Taking and teenagers into custody has intensified in since Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa became in November 2020.

According o the rights group Amnesty International, children are being routinely detained, ill-treated and tortured in Bahrain.

It says interrogating children is against international laws, including the Children’s Rights International Law.

Recently, Bahraini’s interior minister claimed that the country has passed a new law introducing alternatives to jail as a “national, civilized and humane” move.

However, the February 14 Youth Coalition rejects the claim, saying the new law is aimed at concealing the regime’s crimes against the people of Bahrain.
