Malnutrition of 6,000 children in Gaza

According to Mehr News Agency, Mohammed Abu Dahar, director of the Gaza Medical Organization, said in an interview with Al Jazeera that more than 6,000 children in the Gaza Strip suffer from acute malnutrition and this has put a heavy pressure on the collapsed health system in the area.

He emphasized that a small amount of humanitarian aid is reached by the people, with many of these aid been stolen by armed and organized gangs.

According to the medical official, vital drugs such as insulin are not imported for diabetic patients, and pregnant women are facing severe food and medicinal deficiencies that have put the lives of thousands of mothers and fetuses at serious risk.

This is when US President Steve Witakaf claimed hours ago: What is happening in Gaza is food shortage, not hunger.
