Jeffrey Sachs: The formation of the Palestinian state is beyond American political understanding

Economist Jeffrey Sachs, a public policy analyst and American university professor at the International Conference on European and American Studies at the University of Tehran World Studies School, said: “The formation of a Palestinian government and a two -state solution is beyond the political understanding of the United States.”

He emphasized that the United States is the only supporter of the Zionist regime, saying: (Benjamin) Netanyahu continues to behave while the United States is still standing with him and continues to be siege to Palestine.

“Ideological support for Israel, especially by the Avengelic fundamentalists, is such that there has been a gap in the Jewish community,” Sax added.

“The United States has paid a lot of money in the war over the past decades,” he said, noting that the United States is militarily worn out and is trying to focus on confronting China. The costs of the US warfare in support of Israel are beyond the military budget, which is about seven percent of the US GDP (GDP), but the crisis budget is much higher.

“The United States is in a weakened position, and all of this shows that America does not really want a war with Iran,” Sachs said. America is not in a position to have another war. Iran's alliance with Russia is very significant in this regard and it is significant support against the war. The attack on Iran ends a tragedy for everyone.

“I have not seen a long -term strategy,” said Sachs about the new US government in the first five months of this government.
