Iran's support for national sovereignty and the integrity of the Democratic Republic of Congo

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baqaei expressed concern over the intensification of clashes in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, stressing Iran's support for national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

A State Department spokesman welcomed the African Union's efforts to assist in the formation of a ceasefire in the conflict area, hoping that disputes in the Democratic Republic of Congo would be resolved through dialogue and with intra -African solutions.
