Iranian President, FM to visit South Africa in near future

(ISNA) – South Africa’s ambassador to Tehran announced that Iranian President Ebrahim and Foreign Minister would pay an to South Africa in near future.

South Africa’s ambassador to Tehran Vika Mazwi Khumalo in an interview with ISNA declared, “Economic Joint Committee of Iran-South Africa is the oldest joint commission of South Africa with a country in the west of . The Foreign Ministers of both countries preside this joint commission every year; however, it has postponed in recent years due to ”.

The 15th Economic Joint Committee of Iran-South Africa will be held in October 2022.

The senior African diplomat added, “The Iranian President will travel to South Africa in November. This trip will be paid after holding the summit of the joint commission during which certain new agreements will be signed to expand the in different areas”.

Regarding the limited number of transactions between the two countries, Vika Mazwi Khumalo said, “Unfortunately, due to secondary American , the number of transactions between Iran and South Africa is decreased and the most important obstacle is these sanctions”.

He, also, stated that one delegation related to and family affairs from South Africa would travel to Tehran in the near future.
