Iranian Billiard Player Claims Bronze Medal at Lebanon International Championship

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian cueist Mohammad Ali Pordel gained a bronze medal at Lebanon 9 Ball International Open Championship after beating players from Lebanon, Egypt and the United Kingdom at the international tournament.

Pordel suffered a close 10-11 defeat in his match against his Lebanese rival from the host nation at the semi-final round and stood on the third podium to receive a medal at the tournament held in the Lebanese capital city of Beirut.

Pordel had earlier defeated cueist from Lebanon, Egypt and the United Kingdom to reach the semi-finals.

Lebanon 9 Ball International Open Championship was held in Beirut from April 13, until April 18, 2017.

A total of 125 cueists from Egypt, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, the United Kingdom and Venezuela participated in the tournament.

Billiard player Ali Reza Vahab, along side his compatriot, Mohammad Ali Pordel represented Iran in the championship.
