(ISNA) – ’s President stated, “We hope that the bilateral and friendly interactions between Iran and Brunei will further expand into the field of regional and international relations between the two countries”.

Speaking in a meeting with the new ambassador of , while receiving his credentials on Monday, President Ebrahim referred to the between the two nations, adding, “The two countries’ relations are rooted in heartfelt relationship between the two and it is essential to develop political, economic and relations between the two countries on the basis of these relations”.

At the same meeting, the new ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Tehran also conveyed the greetings of his country’s Sultan to President Raisi and said, “As the ambassador of Brunei, I will do my best to expand and deepen the relations and cooperation between the two Muslim brotherly and friendly nations”.
