Investment of 30 billion dollars of petrochemical industry in Mahshahr region

According to Mehr news agency, Hassan Abbaszadeh stated that 27% of the country's petrochemical production capacity is in the Mahshahr region on Wednesday evening (3rd of Bahman) in the administrative council meeting of Bandar Mahshahr city. Iran Petrochemical is located in this area.
Stating that more than 30,000 people are currently working in the petrochemical industry in the special petrochemical economic zone (Mahshahr), he emphasized: We must not forget that the downstream sector of petrochemicals is a source of employment and the necessary infrastructure must be provided for the development of these industries.
The CEO of the National Petrochemical Industries Company said: Approximately 80 billion dollars have been invested in the country's petrochemical industry, of which 30 billion dollars were in Mahshahr region.
Abbaszadeh stated: In recent years, 1,300 hectares of green spaces have been created in Mahshahr region and more than 9 million saplings have been planted. mangrove has been planted, while this year, 14 oil gas burners are turned off in cooperation with the National Iranian Oil Company, and about 4 million cubic meters of gas per day will be added to the feed capacity of petrochemical plants.
