At the end of his remarks, the Minister of Justice emphasized the importance of strengthening the Eastern approach to human rights and said: “Today, more than ever, the rich capacities of the Orient in the field of human rights should be taken. Human rights must be based on the common innate principles of human beings, respect for cultures and religions, and peaceful coexistence. This summit is an opportunity to exchange thought and consultation in providing effective and indigenous solutions to promote global human rights.
Rahimi also expressed hope that the Oriental scholars would provide the ground for governments to respect human rights by drawing practical solutions, especially by relying on ethics, internal beliefs, and commitment to laws.
