Every year, 350 million traffic is carried out in the axes of East Azerbaijan

According to Mehr news agency, Orjeali Alizadeh said at the conclusion of the Green Road multimedia festival at the Petrochemical Hall: East Azarbaijan province is one of the most important provinces in the northwest of the country and is located in the East-West Corridor and the Old Silk Road Corridor.

By presenting statistics on the amount of traffic in the province's axes, he stated: We have 350 million annual traffics in the province's axes, 85% of which is done in three thousand kilometers.

Alizadeh pointed to the movement of 25 million goods and five million passengers in the province and said: More than 90% of the movements are on the roads, and in this area we are facing the big challenge of road accidents.

He stated that the freeways of the province are 250 kilometers and the highways are 600 kilometers.

The Director General of Roads of the province pointed out that there are 20,000 feet on the country's roads and said: Out of this number, 1,000 feet belong to East Azerbaijan province, and in this, the human factor has played the biggest role in accidents and has overcome other factors.

He continued: The media has played an important role in this and can convey safety concerns to the public, and this is the reason why we went to the media in this festival.

Alizadeh reminded: According to the assigned missions, we must reduce accident deaths by 10% every year, which has been achieved in the province so far, but the life of a human being is definitely important to us.

He added: We expect the media to go to these issues so that we can minimize this challenge through synergy.
