Egypt: looking for rebuilding Gaza without displacing Palestinians

US President Donald Trump is seeking to put pressure on the two countries of Jordan and Egypt to accept Palestinians and to clear ethnic cleansing of Gaza, according to Mehr News Agency. However, Amman and Cairo's authorities strongly oppose Trump's plan.

Accordingly, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry issued a statement emphasizing its country's opposition to Gaza's clearing and preserving the Palestinians in its lands.

Egypt is determined to provide a view to the rebuilding of Gaza to ensure the survival of the Palestinian people in their land, the statement said.

The statement, referring to Cairo's good relations with Washington at various levels, adds: Egypt is eager to cooperate with the United States to resolve the Palestinian issue fairly to consider the rights of the people of the region.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stresses that ending the occupation of Palestinian territories by Israel and the implementation of a two -state solution is the way to stability in the region.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry's statement comes after Jordanian king King Abdullah II met with Donald Trump hours ago at the White House. At the meeting, Trump announced his high confidence in Egypt's consent to accept Palestinian refugees.
