The Russian High Board headed by Bogdanov entered Damascus

The Russian delegation arrived in Damascus, according to the Mehr News Agency.

This morning, a high -level delegation from the Russian Foreign Ministry headed by Mikhail Bogdanov, Putin's Special Envoy in the Middle East and Africa, arrived in Damascus, the Syrian capital.

He is scheduled to meet with Syrian Foreign Minister Al -Julani as well as Syrian Foreign Minister Asad al -Shaibani.

Alexander Lavorntif Putin's special envoy to Syria is also accompanying the delegation.

Bogdanov said the purpose of the trip was to strengthen the historical relations between Russia and Syria on the basis of the principle of common interests and said: Russia wants the unity, independence and territorial integrity of Syria and the realization of social consensus and coexistence in Syria.
