Blinken: Hamas cannot be defeated with a military solution

According to Mehr News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken admitted in a speech: Hamas cannot be defeated by a military solution alone. Our estimate is that Hamas has gained as much strength as it has lost.

Continuing his speech at the meeting of the Atlantic Council, Blinken added: the continuation of the war situation will harm the Israeli economy. Gaza has isolated Israel in the international arena and caused instability. All the people in the Gaza Strip are facing hunger.

He continued: Our goal is to create a new reality in the Middle East. Last year, we donated 25 billion dollars to Israel.

The US Secretary of State also said: Cairo and Doha have reached the final formula for a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. A committee will take over the administration of the Gaza Strip the day after the war and hand it over to a Palestinian government. An interim security force will be formed in Gaza consisting of forces from allied countries and Palestinian elements whose identities have been verified.

Blinken claimed: No one can force Israel to accept a Palestinian state ruled by Hamas or any other extremist organization.
