Baqa'i met with his Armenian counterpart

During the meeting, which took place this morning, April 2, the two sides expressed their pleasant relations with Iran -Armenia's very good relations in various political, economic, commercial and cultural fields, on the importance of strengthening cooperation in the media and news fields, including through the exchange of media outlets.

In this regard, the importance of updating and implementing agreements concluded between the relevant media authorities of the two countries (including national radio and official news agencies) was emphasized.

The two sides, while discussing regional and international developments, especially in the Caucasus area, focused on the importance of direct contact mechanisms between the relevant departments of the two countries' foreign ministries to verify news and reports related to joint interest, and to coordinate effectively with fake news and misleading news.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Ministries of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Armenia also announced their readiness to identify and use a variety of cooperation opportunities in these areas, referring to the radical links and extensive interactions of the two countries in the cultural, artistic, historical and extensive public relations.
