Asgari wins bronze at Karate One Premier League

TEHRAN – Bahman Asgari Ghoncheh of Iran claimed a bronze medal at the Karate One Premier League Istanbul on Sunday.

Asgari defeated Heorhii Pitsul of Ukraine 6-0 in the Male Kumite -75 KG bronze medal match.

Egyptian karate athlete Abdalla Abdelaziz defeated Turkey’s Faruk Yurur Omer by senshu to win the gold medal.

This event returns to Istanbul for the first time since 2021 and serves as the launchpad for the elite global karate season.

 The tournament was held in Turkey’s capital from Jan 23 to 25.
