Criticism of the UN Dual Standards of the United Nations

According to Mehr News Agency, Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Director of Legal and International Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, with “Rosemary DiCarloo, the political deputy of the UN Secretary -General, met at the headquarters of the organization in New York.

At the meeting, the parties addressed the Zionist and US invasion of the Islamic Republic of Iran and issues related to UN Security Council Resolution and how to implement it, including the role of the UN Secretariat in protecting the mechanisms envisaged in the resolution and preventing any political abuse.

At the meeting, Gharib Abadi pointed to the repeated reports of the International Atomic Energy Agency: None of these reports have not even mentioned a word about the deviation of Iran's nuclear program.

Rejecting the baseless and repetitive claims of the Zionist regime over the past three decades of Iran's efforts to achieve nuclear weapons, he emphasized: The Islamic Republic of Iran has never sought weapons of mass destruction by relying on religious and jurisprudential foundations. The claims come as the Zionist regime is not a member of any of the disarmament treaties and is equipped with all types of weapons.

Gharib Abadi, criticizing the dual standards of international institutions, emphasized the necessity of playing the effective and impartial role of the United Nations against the Zionist and the United States's explicit aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying that the nations are expected by the UN Secretary -General.

He expressed hope that these facts and concerns would be seriously reflected in the reports and future positions of the UN Secretariat, as well as in the coming meetings.
