Today, more than ever, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is at the forefront as a major multilateral entity that promotes regional and international cooperation and counter unilateralism and emerging threats.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me start with a deeply worrying development in the West Asian region: aggressive action and armed attack by the Israeli regime and the United States against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In the early hours of Friday morning, June 6, the Israeli regime launched brutal terrorist and military attacks against my country.

Residential areas and public and civilian infrastructure were deliberately targeted; Several rest of the military commander, while in their homes with their families, was brutally assassinated; University professors and scientists were also murdered; Injury civilians, including women and children, were massacred; And our peaceful nuclear facilities operated under the IAEA's safeguards were attacked.

The next US entry into this aggressive move – by targeting Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities – left no doubt that the United States is fully in the Israeli regime's aggressive war against Iran.

During these armed attacks, more than 5 innocent people were martyred or wounded, a significant portion of them being children and women. In one of these criminal and terrorist operations, the rebellious regime killed 15 members of a family.

It is very important that the depths of these crimes – and the very dangerous consequences of the continuation of the Israeli regime's immunity in occupation, apartheid, genocide and warfare throughout the West Asian region – are correctly and fully condemned.

Mr. Chairman, the Israeli regime's aggression against Iran was a clear violation of Article 4 of the United Nations Charter and is an example of an armed aggressive act. Worse, the act has caused a deadly blow to diplomacy, the rule of law, and the prohibition of nuclear weapons.

The attacks by the United States and Israel against peaceful nuclear facilities were the gross violation of the Nuclear Weapons Development Treaty (NPT), numerous IAEA resolutions, and UN Security Council Resolutions – which explicitly condemned the attack on the nuclear facilities.

No legal rule allows the peaceful nuclear facilities to be targeted solely on the basis of political speculation.

The issue of insecurity in the West Asian region will remain until the Israeli regime's illegitimate and illegal behavior will continue to support and encourage its supporters.

It is a deep regret that in the past two years, the international community has failed to take effective measures to stop the genocide of the Palestinian people or end the occupation of neighboring Arab territories by the Israeli regime. In fact, the Israeli regime's rape against Iran is the direct result of the absolute immunity that this regime – mainly by the United States and some European countries – has -; The immunity that allows this regime to commit any crime in our region without fear of accountability.
Honorable Foreign Ministers, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the respected Shanghai Cooperation Organization, who have strongly condemned the rapes against my country equipped with nuclear weapons by understanding their important responsibility for maintaining international peace and security.

We believe that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is in a proper position to play a fundamental pillar of the emerging global multiplayer order and to stand up to unilateralism, war and efforts to undermine the sovereignty of countries. The path ahead is the path of cooperation, synergy and mutual trust.

In this regard, the Islamic Republic of Iran with respect, priorities and suggestions aims to improve the performance and position of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization:

1. Forming a permanent mechanism for monitoring, documenting and coordinating responses to military aggression, subversive actions, government terrorism, and violation of national sovereignty;

2. Establishment of “Center for Study and Controversial Sanctions” with the mission of developing operational strategies to counter illegal economic sanctions and protect the supply chains, banking systems and business transactions;

1. Forming the Shanghai Regional Security Assembly with the participation of defense and intelligence agencies of member states to investigate joint threats such as terrorism, extremism, organized crimes and cyber threats;

1. Deepening of media and cultural convergence between member states as a tool to counter the perceptual war and one -sided narratives promoted by the media arms of domination powers.
