Meet the new ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Venezuela with the Secretary of State

Ali Chegini, the new ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Venezuela, met with Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Arakchi on Wednesday and presented a report on the status of Tehran-Karakas bilateral relations and a proposed program.

Referring to the importance of the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Venezuelan Bolivar Republic, the Foreign Minister emphasized the need to strive to strengthen and expand relations, especially in economic and commercial areas.

Chegini has previously served as the Director General of the State Department's Resistance Economy and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Cuba and India.
