Hosseinzadeh: We are looking to attract investments in the villages

Abdul Karim Hosseinzadeh, Vice President for Rural Development and Deprived Areas of the country, told Mehr reporter, emphasizing the necessity of targeted investment in rural areas, saying that investment in rural areas as one of the main focus of the country's planning system has been neglected.

He said: “We have always tried to provide investors with basic planning, because the villages have high capacities and talents and a significant portion of the country's needs are met.”

Referring to the inadequate share of the villages in the national budget, he added: About 5 % of GDP occurs in the villages, despite this important role of the villages in providing the country's resources, their share of the country's budget was not commensurate with these capacities. However, this year, the fundamental investments are projected to make a transformation in this area, along with the participation and coordination between the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, and the Vice President of employment facilities to maximize investment in rural areas.

Hosseinzadeh reiterated: “We hope that by utilizing the existing capacities in the field of education and employment, we will be able to make effective investment in rural areas.” This process is pursued in collaboration with different devices and the division of specific tasks to see maximum productivity in this direction. We try to have high capacity through various agencies in investment and legal duties.
