Iran has denied US and Israeli allegations of Iran's role in Syria

According to Mehr News Agency, the ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations, in a letter to the UN Security Council Chairman, decisively rejected the security of the US and the Zionist regime at an emergency meeting on April 7 (Summit 2) on Iran's role in Syria.

Amir Saeed Irvani, the ambassador of our country, said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran has never pursued the policy of destabilization in Syria and has always supported its territorial integrity and national sovereignty.”

He further emphasized that what disrupted Syria's stability is the US -occupied and occupied policies that have been covered by terrorism, equipping and supporting terrorist groups and supporting the occupation of the Zionist regime.

In another part of the letter, Yerevan has condemned the continuation of the Zionist regime's aggression against the Syrian sovereignty, calling for urgent and decisive action of the Security Council to stop these measures.

“The occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights by the Zionist regime is the gross violation of international law and the Security Council Resolution, which explicitly declares any exercise of sovereignty or administrative jurisdiction of the occupation regime,” he said.

The ambassador and permanent representative of Iran further rejected the Zionist regime's allegations of sending weapons and financial resources to Hezbollah in Lebanon, calling it the only excuse to justify the continuous violation of the Security Council and disrupt the arrangements of the ceasefire with Lebanon.
